We came for a quick bite having just come off the plane, en route to our hotel. The restaurant is in the tail end of a strip mall, but overlooks harbor. It is quite sweltering inside despite all of the doors and windows being open. Nonetheless we really did enjoy the food. We had the poke bowl (happy hour), luau plate, pork adobo, and the saimin deluxe (ramen) for the kiddos, and furikake fries (happy hour). Reasonably good for our first meal on the island (admittedly there has been other better local eats. The ramen broth was pretty flat and underwhelming although the 5 yo enjoyed it. The pulled pork on the luau plate is missing some spice and salt. Service was friendly and fast. I'd recommend if you're in area and hankering for a quick bite.

We had a great time at Tante's. We split the Hawaiian lu'au plate which was perfect for two people. Service was friendly and didn't rush us. Open air atmosphere was very inviting. Good places to shop right around the restaurant.

Tante Maalaea Harbor serves upscale seafood, steak and local food, including Filipino and Japanese cuisine from dock to table. This has a full service bar. The staff is friendly, professional and proficient. The ambiance is bright and cheery with window views of the whole side of the restaurant facing the ocean and Maalaea harbor. Whales can be seen blowing spouts and breaching during the whale season! The happy hour discounts are fantastic, food and drinks. Locals and visitors alike come to enjoy!

Wanted to give a big thanks to the Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant! Was created with a smile and shot. Customer service was great. Food was delicious! That lobster and steak sealed the deal. My Hennessy was served just right and being able to dine and enjoy an ocean view was superb. Thanks again Tante Maalaea Harbor!!!

Tante's is located in Maalaea, near the Maui Ocean Center. Find them just off the highway, looking towards Maalea harbor. After parking, stay upstairs and walk towards the harbor. The restaurant is located in the back- walk pass Da Playground, pizza shop and ice cream shop. We've been there twice and were happy each time. Go there for the food and the harbor view. This is a relaxed dining experience with no frills. Food came out hot and servers were attentive with clearing dishes, refilling drinks and checking on us. The menu is larger than most places. I don't know how they can offer that many items each day. The poke tower appetizer can be your meal. Our large party of 13 used the big table in the back of the restaurant. The steak and lobster special for $29.95 can't be beat. You can upgrade the steak to a ribeye. Ordered appetizers, burgers, pasta, seafood and we were happy with each dish. Sauteed escargot is not a typical menu item on Maui. We gave it a shot and you can't go wrong with garlic butter. If you're into escargot, get it. The jumbo lump crab cake appetizer was a good amount of crab. Our picky eater in the family had one bite of that and requested an order for themself. The ultimate seafood platter was big. Good amount of lobster, crab, mussels, shrimp and scallops. I ordered the pasta parmesan and the fish of the day with caper cream sauce and the combo was too much cream/salt. Next time, I will stick to rice or mashed potatoes. We liked the oxtail soup, pancit, banana lumpia, and haupia. There is something for everyone at Tante's. Their website includes a sushi menu; however, no sushi was available on our last visit. Not sure if they still offer sushi. Reservations can be made at opentable. Tante's is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Their last dinner seating is at 830 pm. Be aware that the parking lot in Maalaea is a fee parking lot; however, parking fee is only for part of the day. Double check the signs before paying.

We had an early dinner here on a Friday afternoon. We ordered some drinks, the fresh catch of the day (I selected the Monchong) with the lemon butter white whine sauce and the poke salad. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great together with the sauce and veggies. Poke salad was also really good. The mango cheesecake as dessert was a nice finish to the meal. Staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant has got a nice relaxed vibe.

Had a fantastic evening at Tante's with great food and even better service! We loved the selection of Filipino entrees - it's always a treat to have authentic dishes on the menu. The view was gorgeous as always, making it the perfect backdrop for a relaxing dinner. However, they definitely should forewarn diners who make reservations about the new parking system. It was a bit of an annoyance to figure out. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Will definitely be back!
